Terms & Conditions

Please carefully read and adhere to the following Terms when doing business with us. By accepting an estimate from us, whether formal, in writing or verbal, or agreeing to our services without an estimate, you agree to the following:

Quotes

Our quotes are estimates, meaning the total cost may slightly differ. We will always do our best to ensure our estimates are as accurate as possible, however some things are out of control such as supplier costs for example. We may conduct a site visit or ask to receive a photo before an estimate is made to ensure that it is close to as accurate as possible. We reserve the right to amend the initial estimation, due to circumstances out of our control, the client's original requirements change or upon our inspection of the property.

Onsite Consultation Fees

In certain situations, we may ask for an onsite consultation fee to be paid prior to the quote appointment. The fee is $49.00 inclusive. It must be paid in full prior the consultation being booked in. Once it is paid and cleared, we will book in your consultation with you. The fee is fully refundable 24 hours prior to the onsite consultation. After this, it is non-refundable.

Service Cancellations

The client can cancel or reschedule the agreed service by giving us at least 24 hours notice. Failure to provide us with required notice will result with a $50.00 cancellation fee. We reserve the right to refuse any job if its condition is hazardous to the health and well being of our staff. We have the right to cancel or reschedule a service in any unexpected circumstances which has occurred to our staff. We have the right to determine if it is too wet or dangerous to attend and carry out your services due to weather. We have the right to stop mid service if it begins to rain, and we deem the grass is too wet to complete service. Should any of these situations happen, we will contact you and reschedule. 

Deposits

A 50% deposit may be requested prior to a date being secured for the job. The deposit must be cleared before arrangements regarding the job (such as booking a date) can be discussed. Our deposits are non-refundable if the client changes their mind and/or provides no valid reason for the cancellation. If the client pays more than the 50% deposit willingly, the same rule still applies. 

Claims

No refund claims will be considered once the service has been carried out without adequate reason within a 24 hour time period. All services shall be deemed have been carried out to the client’s satisfaction unless written notice is received with details of the complaint within 24 hours of the work being completed. We will fully investigate any complaint and attempt to resolve it to the satisfaction of the client, or alternatively to a reasonable standard.

Debris Removal 

Service areas must be free from pet droppings, children's toys, hoses, rocks or any other debris before our arrival. These items are hazardous if hit by a lawn mower blade or line trimmer. Damage to our equipment, the clients property or injury to our staff due to services areas not been cleared will be at the fault of the client. If we have to clean up service areas, you will be charged for the extra time spent there. We will not carry out the service if there is excessive debris in the service areas, and this will result in a $50.00 travel fee. 

Regular Mowing Services

Our regular services run fortnightly in Summer, Spring & Autumn and Winter. We do not run regular mowing services outside of this schedule. Numerous factors can affect our schedule for regular services, therefore we cannot guarantee an exact day or time consistently. You will however be notified the day prior to your service to ensure you have notice and courtesy. If we need to move your service around due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, you will be notified and booked into the next available time slot. 

Lawn Care Programs

Our Lawn Care Programs are created with a specific schedule and timed Lawn Care product applications. You will receive (2) services every month throughout the year. The customer cannot cancel a service/s unless a valid reason is given due to the nature of the Programs. If no valid reason is provided, you will still be charged for the service as it is a continuous Program, unless cancelled indefinitely. The client is required to ensure their turf is receiving the recommended amount of water to maintain a healthy turf during the Program at all times. Any consequences for lack of water to your turf during the Program is not the responsibility of Local Dad Lawn & Garden.

Lawn Mowing Grass Clippings

We charge a fee for removal of lawn clippings as part of our Lawn Care Service. If you would like your lawn clippings mulched, or put into your green waste bin/garden beds, you must request this prior to our attendance.

Completion Clean Up

We will only clean up the mess we make as we run on a time schedule. We cannot guarantee excess mess which needed to be cleaned up prior to commencement will be cleaned up. Excess mess not made by our staff can be cleaned up upon request and this will incur an extra charge.

Property Access

Providing access to the property is the client’s responsibility at the agreed time. Please ensure your gates to access your property is unlocked upon our arrival. If you prefer to leave your gate locked, please provide our staff with the combination code or key. If keys are provided to access the property they must open and close all locks without any special efforts or skills. Alternatively, someone must be home to provide entry. Pets must also be restrained. Failure to provide safe access to the property is subject to a $50.00 non-refundable fee. Our staff are not responsible for any alarms triggered during the service visit. The customer must provide our staff with full instructions for disabling and/or resetting any alarm systems on the premises if required. 

Pricing and Payment

Full payment is due same day of service after the job is completed. If the invoice is not paid within 7 days from invoice date, a 10% interest of the total amount owing will accrue every day until full payment is made. If your account remains unpaid for 14 days, your account will be forwarded to a Debt Collection Agency. We accept bank transfers only.

Regular Service Review

Regular service quotes will be reviewed every 12 months and a review will be sent to the client for reviewal. 

Gardening Gift Card Terms & Conditions

E-gift cards must be used in full due to the nature of the package and our work. The amount of hours paid for is the maximum of hours we will work. It is only valid for the following services—mowing, pruning, hedging, weed spraying and 1 ute load of green waste removal. No other service can be included in this gift card. E-gift cards may not be exchanged for cash. E-gift cards will expire 3 years from purchase and any balance will be forfeited. This item is non-refundable.
